Catch-Up

Hmmmm....August 24th, 2009.....that was my last post ?! That is pretty sad on my part. Sorry to all you Siddons' fans out there! I guess I've been using all of my "blogging" time trying to train/tame our now 7th month old, 90 lb puppy. We had a fun fall and very exciting Christmas. The kids were, can we say "showered with blessings" (gifts) from all around. Time has gone so fast. Parker is going to be 5 years old next month (which I can't hardly believe). He is addicted to all things Super Mario Bros. Each family member has been assigned (by Parker) his or her character role. Parker is Mario, Mark is Luigi, Kaelin is Toad, and I get to be the Princess! And, we are all Yoshi's when required! Last weekend we transformed Parker's room from his nursery into a big-boy room. I think he really likes it. Kaelin, who likes to call herself Ariel, is in love with the Disney Princesses....she calls them "lella" (Cinderella), "white" (Snow White), "Belle" (kinda obvious), "Princess Jazzy", and her favorite...Ariel. Kaelin very much a girly-girl. She loves pink and purple and make-up and fixing her hair, and mirrors, and dancing, and tu-tu's, and jewelery (her "prettys"). Our newest adventure is teaching Kaelin to use the big girl potty, which she is doing great with. Mark will be starting a new job tomorrow. We are all very excited that he will not have to work nights or weekends anymore! He'll be in a much healthier and safer environment, too. Plus, the new company is right here in Plainfield!

Picking Our Puppy

We picked which puppy will be ours out of the litter. It was not so easy because they were all so cute! She is a "blue" (gray) girl. We're going to call her Lola. She is super sweet and seems very laid back. Lola is 6.5 weeks old in this picture. We'll get to take her home when she is 8 weeks old!

Visiting Puppies 2.5 wks old

Today we got to visit our new puppy for the first time! She is from Centurian Mastini Kennel in northern Indiana. The kids loved seeing the puppies! Kaelin first thought they were bunnies! Parker kept kissing them all (and almost falling in the little purple pool every time). We aren't sure which one will end up coming home with us yet....they are all super cute!

Kings Island

Parker and I went to Kings Island with Ne ne, Pa pa, Aunt Shell, Uncle Matt, Jazzy and Saundra on July 3rd. It was a lot of fun! Everyone was very brave...Parker took a little while to warm up to the rides, but then he couldn't get enough! The little roller coaster was his favorite! Jazzy rode many of the "big" rides this year...including Delirium! We were so proud of her! Even Saundra got to ride a couple of family rides! Many Thanks to my awesome husband who volunteered to stay home with Miss Kaelin!
