The Siddons Go Hiking! (Day 2)

Day 2 - Turkey Run

We had such a great time at McCormick's Creek that we decided to take advantage of the nice weather and head to Turkey Run the next day. We also kidnapped (parent-napped) my mom and dad this time around. We conquered Trail 3 -tagged as "Very Rugged"- It was challenging to stay dry, but most of us suceeded! Parker is the only one that got wet--and he has his mother to blame for it. I thought I'd give him some extra help jumping over the water...turns out I'm stronger than I know and Parker ended up on his back in the puddle. Oops.--hence the "green dress" (as Parker called it).

The Siddons Go Hiking! (Day 1)

Day 1 - McCormick's Creek

Mark, Parker, Kaelin, my mom and I went on a 2 mi. hike. This was our first attempt at hiking with the kids. We had so much fun! Kaelin liked riding in her new backpack carrier (and eating snacks if she got a little bored with the walk)! Parker did alot of exploring. He walked across logs, through trees and went through Wolf Cave half a dozen times. And in case anyone is wondering...I'm pretty sure Wolf Cave has gotten much smaller in the last 15 years....especially the exit ;)
